Terms of Service

The ground rules for using ONE PRAYER. We've kept them as short and plain as we can.

Last updated:

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the operators of ONE PRAYER (“ONE PRAYER”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. The service

ONE PRAYER is a free online prayer community. You can share prayer requests, pray for others, join live prayer and read devotional and Bible resources. Core community features are free and will remain free. We may change, pause or discontinue features, and we will try to give notice of significant changes.

3. Not a substitute for professional help

ONE PRAYER is a place of prayer and encouragement. It does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial or emergency services, and nothing on the site is professional advice. Prayer walks alongside medical care; it never replaces it. If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right now. ONE PRAYER is a prayer community and cannot provide emergency, medical or mental-health services.

4. Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • You must be old enough to agree to these terms under the law where you live.
  • You can delete your account at any time from My Prayers → Settings.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and moderate your content for the purpose of running ONE PRAYER — for example, showing a public request on the prayer forum or sharing a private request with assigned prayer volunteers. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained briefly in backups as described in our privacy policy.

Please share only what you are comfortable with, and never share other people's private details without their permission.

6. Community conduct

Everyone using ONE PRAYER must follow our community guidelines. We may review, edit for privacy, hide or remove content, and may suspend or close accounts that break the guidelines or these terms or put others at risk.

7. Optional purchases

The optional 10 Days of Hope digital product is sold through Gumroad, which acts as the checkout provider and processes payment, delivery and refunds under its own terms. Our refund policy explains how to request a refund. Purchasing never affects how prayer requests are handled. We make no promise of healing or any particular outcome.

8. Advertising and links

Some general editorial pages may show clearly labelled advertising if you consent. Ads never appear on prayer pages. Links to other websites — including church websites and donation pages — are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Our content

Devotionals, explanations, guided prayers, design and artwork on ONE PRAYER are original works owned by us or our contributors. You may share links and short quotations with attribution for personal, non-commercial use. Scripture quotations come from public-domain translations (WEB and KJV).

10. Disclaimers and liability

We work hard to keep ONE PRAYER available and safe, but the service is provided “as is” and we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where ONE PRAYER is operated, without affecting any mandatory protections of the country where you live.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Questions? Contact us.
